Listening section

2. The second half is about listening to a speech in a normal social setting. You must pay concentration to every fact, and you may even be needed to identify an individual’s senses and feelings from the manner of his or her voice.

Speaking section

1. The introduction and discussion last approximately 4-5 minutes, during which the examiner presents himself/herself and questions you to present yourself. He or she will question you with general queries on expected subjects such as your home, relative, career, studies, and personal interests.
2. The second segment lasts no more than 3-4 minutes. The examiner will give you a task card and ask you to give a lecture on a specific subject. You will have suggested key facts which you can have in your conversation.
3. A 4-5 minute conversation concludes the Speaking section. You will be asked specific questions about the subject from Part 2 by the examiner. You will discuss more conceptual topics and concepts.

Reading section

The time limitation for the Reading department is 60 minutes. The Reading exam is divided into three sections, each with a text length ranging from 2,150 to 2,750 words. Some of the questions in the Reading portion require a brief response. Words from the Reading text should be copied into the response sheet without changing their status.

Writing section

The Writing department has two assignments. Whether you prefer the Academic Writing Test or the General Training Writing Test, both assignments have a total time limit of 60 minutes.
